Now that the warm water game is in full swing, I'm finding success fly fishing in WV. It seems that many of the streams they stock for trout in or around the Charleston area may ultimately suck as "trout streams", but are fantastic for small stream smallmouth fishin'.
Lancaster County PA was very much the same way. Which always made me wonder, why stock them with trout in the first place? Why try to make those streams something they aren't? Why not just manage them as great smallmouth/panfish fisheries?
