Are there any trout ponds around? Where you pay by the pound? I remember one as a kid in Monroe county we went to but have no idea the name or even if still exist. I would like to take the little ones and let them catch a few. They are to small for me to like having them crawling on a creek bank at this time lol. I know I would be fishing them out.

There was one called Buckhorn Trout Ponds, in Fort Seybert (near Brandywine) in Pendleton County. I’m not 100 percent it’s still active since the gentleman who owned and operated it passed away. Not sure if his (adult) children still run it. It’s seasonal, I believe, My family took me there when I was a youngster, and I took my daughters there when they were young. Nice place.
I know there are others around the state.

There used to be one called Sure Catch that was just north of Elkins off of old 219 on Stalnaker Run Road. I think they had catfish too. I can't guarantee they're still around, but I think I saw their sign last time I went through. I've never fished there, but I think that the prices weren't too terrible. 3 bucks a pound or something like that.
