Caught tonight on a jerkbait below the dam in downtown Morgantown.  My guess is about 22 inches, though I didn't get to measure before I put her back.

I missed three more, no clue about size, but they all hit like a ton of bricks.  Get 'em while you can, fattenin' up for the winter!!

Crappy cell phone picture:

Honestly, I used to throw  marabou jigs and twist-tail grubs for them with not much to moderate success.  After your pics of jerkbait takers, I decided I'd give it a try.  Thanks for the tip!

Oh....and homework is overrated

Dont know what kind of water you caught that guy out of, but if you can find some rip-rap with a current break next to some deep water, you can up multiply that guy times many..hint hint

Great looking walleye! Jerkbaits are fish catching machines.

Congrats on a nice eye! I hope to catch some soon. Just picked up a few new lures. Two XPS 3.5" Sus. Minnows and one 4" Rapala X-rap.

Basically, exactly what big_kitty said. Whiteday, Morgan Run, Coopers Rock Lake are all ridiculous for the stock truck chasers and get cleaned out quickly.  Morgan Run and Whiteday get too warm in the summer for holdovers. I've never been to Big Sandy, but it's in Preston County near Bruceton Mills--I imagine it's the same. You might find some wild trout in the mountains of Preston County, but I believe there are a lot of problems with water quality in the area. It's worth it to either drive to the Elkins area or get a MD license and head to the Yough and Bear Creek around Friendsville.
