...for Russ Blessing, developer of the Woolly Bugger. It's probably the first fly most of us ever tried to tie, and it's hard to imagine fly fishing without it.

I fish alot of flies, but I would refuse to be on the water Without a bugger in my box. Awesome pattern! Thanks.

I've caught more species of fish on a bugger.

Seems we are loosing a number of great tyers. Sad. I've decided that this year I would try to collect flies from friends and admired tyers so I'll have (Lord willing) a piece of there history.
Francis Betters I know has not been well for some time. Maybe my biggest inspiration. May ask for some of his flies for Christmas.
Not a big user of the bugger but it holds a great palce in fly fishing history.
May the good Lord put him on a honey hole.
